Chris Smith is a former American football defensive end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for several teams from 2014 to 2021. 

He played college football at the University of Arkansas and was chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 5th round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

During his college career, Smith played in 43 games, recorded 118 tackles, and had 21.5 sacks. 

He began to make a name for himself during his junior year when he started all 12 games and recorded 52 tackles and 9.5 sacks. In his senior year, Smith had 37 tackles and 8.5 sacks, earning him second-team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) honors.
