Ginny and Georgia Season 3 Plot

According to Netflix’s official synopsis, the series Ginny & Georgia revolves around a 15-year-old Ginny Miller, who often feels more mature than her 30-year-old mother, Georgia Miller.

After years of being on the run, Georgia is determined to settle down in picturesque New England and provide her family with a normal life.

In Season 2, which premiered on January 5, Ginny has to accept that her mother is a murderer. Deadline describes how Ginny is burdened with the revelation that her stepfather, Kenny, didn’t die of natural causes. Now, she must confront the fact that Georgia not only killed someone but did so to protect Ginny.

While Netflix has yet to release an official synopsis for the upcoming season of Ginny & Georgia, it is expected to continue where Season 2 left off.

Creator Sarah Lampert mentioned that the groundwork for Season 3 was set up as far back as Season 1. During the development of Season 2’s storyline, Lampert and her team already had a clear vision for what Season 3 would be. Lampert explained that Georgia needed to kill someone in Wellsbury, Massachusetts, which was a deliberate decision for the narrative.

Lampert also revealed to PEOPLE that viewers can anticipate seeing Cynthia’s reaction to Georgia’s arrest in Season 3, which intentionally wasn’t shown in Season 2. Lampert believes that fans will be eager to witness this moment and mentioned that it will be something to look forward to in the upcoming season.

Season 1 primarily focused on introducing the characters and the plot, delving into themes such as first love, coming-of-age, depression, and the strong bond between mother and daughter.

In Season 2, the show built upon these foundations and developed the characters further.

As for Season 3, Lampert expressed that the Miller family and other characters will encounter new obstacles, relationships, and challenges in a way that hasn’t been seen before on the show when it returns.
