Saketh Myneni, born October 19, 1987, is an accomplished Indian tennis player. He holds the remarkable achievement of reaching No. 74 in the doubles rankings as of January 16, 2023. In 2017, he received the esteemed Arjuna Award for his contributions to the sport.

Myneni proudly represents India in the Davis Cup, showcasing his skills on an international stage. He secured a gold medal in Mixed Doubles and a silver medal in the Men’s Doubles event at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games.

Myneni has garnered an impressive collection of titles throughout his career, including 10 ITF and 2 ATP Challenger singles championships and 18 ITF and 14 ATP Challenger doubles victories.

Saketh Myneni Parents

Saketh Myneni was born in Vuyyuru, a small town in Andhra Pradesh, to Prasad Myneni and Saroja Myneni. However, he spent his entire childhood in Visakhapatnam, also known as Vizag.

Myneni attended Timpany Secondary School in Visakhapatnam before relocating to Hyderabad to pursue his tennis career. He embarked on his tennis journey at 11 and has been passionate about the sport ever since.

Known by the nicknames Saké or Saki, Myneni was granted a sports scholarship in 2006, leading him to the University of Alabama. He earned a double major in Finance and Economics there, graduating in 2010.

Myneni enjoys hobbies such as listening to music and watching movies and TV shows when he’s not on the tennis court. Currently, he resides in Visakhapatnam and occasionally trains in Hyderabad.

During the official Davis Cup dinner on September 14, 2016, Saketh Myneni proposed to his girlfriend, Sri Lakshmi Anumolu. The heartwarming moment was witnessed by Myneni’s fellow countryman, Leander Paes, who congratulated the adorable couple, describing it as the “First Marriage Proposal” he had ever witnessed. Subsequently, Myneni and Anumolu tied the knot on December 22, 2016, beginning their marital journey.
